Psalm 145:8-9, 13-14

8The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. 9The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.  13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds. 14The Lord upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down.

The psalmist is for-shadowing the words of Christ in Luke 18:14; ” for all who exalt themselves will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves as we pray to You; allow us to do Your will as if it were our own; let us be the servants You desire. Hear our prayers today and always.
